BWY Foundation Course 1"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn" Benjamin Franklin
The syllabus is inspiring. You will learn about preparation for practice, asana, breathing, mudras, kriyas, pranayama, chanting, concentration and relaxation. The whole package! By the end of the course, you will have established your own home practice using vinyasa, counterpose and modification. Your knowledge of basic practical techniques, taught in the context of the philosophy that underpins Yoga, will be comprehensive and firmly grounded. It may even be that you decide to do the teacher training, maybe not. Either way, you will feel a fully fledged Yogi! So, if the prospect of this journey excites you, please complete the Application Form below, which can be returned to me via email dianacurrey@btinternet.com A Teacher's Reference form is also in the download section for those of you I haven’t taught before. Here is a photograph of my 2013 Foundation Course, except that 2 Students are missing from the group! We had so much fun and learnt so much from each other. And I can't begin to tell you what delicious homemade cakes and other delights were brought in by the Students to share for lunch. On their last day, they each taught one posture which they had chosen to the whole group. What a highlight for me that was, knowing just how far some of them had travelled over the 8 months. But by keeping their Journals throughout the course, they will be able to look back and remind themselves of their progress and the steps they took along the way. Some will definitely go on to teacher training, and indeed are doing so now. Others, I have no doubt will do so in time to come, but wherever or whatever they were a joy to teach and I miss them.
Here we have my last Foundation Group. Which photograph represents their take on Ahimsa? Do you know what Ahimsa means? If not, you will learn all about this key yogic word on the course.
